Kirsten started her formal classical training in 2014 as a soloist in the ACT, performing in the Opera Australia emerging artists’ concert, the High Court Christmas Party and for Judith Clingan in Songs of Passion and Compassion. Kirsten won the highly sought-after leading role of Cosette in Gungahlin College’s Les Miserable production. She also took part in a production of Sweeney Todd by Dramatic Productions 2017, a Canberra-based Theatre Company.
After performing Time to Say Goodbye at the ACT Education Directorate’s Step into the Limelight: Inspire Concert, Kirsten received the 23rd Canberra Area Theatre (CAT) Award for Best Variety Performance by an Individual or Ensemble in 2017.
Moving to Newcastle in 2018 to commence her Bachelor of Music and Diploma of Languages at Newcastle University, Kirsten sang with Opera Hunter, Newcastle University Choir, Ecology, and the Christchurch Cathedral Choir, as well as performing in shows for Maitland Musical Society.
Since moving to Sydney in 2022, Kirsten has joined the ensembles of Rockdale Opera, Concordia Ensemble, Opera Hunter, Genge Genge, Troupe Viva and Opera Lirica. She also performs in the Radio Community Chest chorus's annual production of Messiah.
As a soloist, Kirsten has performed in Opera Gala concerts, Disability Festivals and Events, and other private company functions.
Kirsten is a committed teacher and chorister at the National Braille Music Camp, a music camp dedicated to Blind and Visually Impaired students from Australia and New Zealand, run every year in Mittagong NSW.
