Kirsten is an Australian blind soprano, born in Darwin NT, and a graduate of the University of Newcastle. Since 2023 Kirsten has honed her skills under the tutelage of Glenn Winslade.
Born legally blind, Kirsten’s family encouraged her to be all she could ever dream of – helping her get involved in sports like swimming, rowing and athletics, however, she was always passionate about singing.
With her powerful voice Kirsten has joined the ensembles of Rockdale
Opera, Concordia Ensemble, Opera Hunter, Gente Gente, Troupe Viva and Opera Lirica. Kirsten also performs in the Radio Community Chest chorus's annual production of Messiah since moving to Sydney in 2022.
As a soloist, Kirsten has performed in various Opera Gala concerts, Disability Festivals and Events, and other private company functions.

As a person with a Guide Dog, Kirsten advocates for the rights of those with service animals. She also supports People with Disability in the ARTS. Through her use of braille music, she not only learns and performs musical material but also shows audiences that a person who is blind can still participate in high-level musical events. Her work helps to challenge stereotypes and raise awareness, demonstrating that disability does not limit one's ability to excel in the arts. .
